|The Elite Football||
As I've outlined on the rosters tab each team in Elite will consist of 50 NCAA players from NCAA division 1 teams, both offensive and defensive. Plus two early commit players, one from each side of the ball. These two players will not count against your roster. The starting positions are also outlined on the rosters tab.... but to restate they will be as follows: OFFENSE: 1 QB, 3 RBs, 4 WRs, 1 TE, 1 K DEFENSE: 2 DL, 3 LBs, 3 DBs
All existing teams going into the 2015 season will have the option to cut as many players from their roster as they chose. The unlimited cuts is for this season only.... I will touch on this issue more later. These cuts must me made before this years draft begins and will be the only opportunity for the season to make any cuts. Once we begin the draft any players you kept on your roster will remain on your roster for the entire season, and will count against your 50 man roster regardless of their status. There are no trades, adds, drops, or waivers for this league, your teams are strictly made of players you recruit during our draft process.
We will begin a draft for all teams to fill their rosters this summer. The draft will be held on the forums here on this site. Last years Elite champion will chose first in the draft and the order will continue from best finish from last year to the worst finish from last year. The expansion teams will be placed behind the last returning team in the draft order. I will do a random draw to order the expansion teams. The draft will not be snake. This will be the format for the draft each year.
Teams will draft until they reach their 50 player roster limit. Once they meet this limit they will drop out of the draft order.
EARLY COMMIT DRAFT
As stated earlier we will also have an early commit draft each year where each team will pick 1 offensive and 1 defensive player from the pool of the following years incoming freshman. So basically consisting of High School seniors. This will follow the same draft order as the regular draft and will take place after that draft is complete.
The regular season for 2015 will run from week 1 through week 11. Week 12 and 13 will be our playoffs and bowl weeks.
Teams will be placed into 4 divisions, . During the regular season teams will face every team from their division and will also face non division teams each season. The non division teams you face will rotate yearly.
Each division winner will makeup our playoffs.
Our playoffs will work as follows:
Division #1 VS Division #1
Division #1 VS Division #1
The winner of those 2 matchups would play for the Elite CHAMPIONSHIP.
As well as a consolation game for the 2 losers.
The 4 division winners will be determined by the OVERALL record not strictly the division record...as only 5 games will be in division games. The division record will be used as the first tie breaker and head to head match up will be second tiebreaker when determining division champs.
The 4 division winners will face off in a 2 week playoff for the Elite championship. The 4 division winners will be seeding by overall record... with tie breaker being 1. division record 2. head to head if applicable 3. overall points scored.
We will also have a playoff for each finishing spot in division order... So each #2 in the 4 divisions will play off, each #3, each #4 , #5, and #6. The tiebreakers will work the same for this.
This will be used in determining final draft order for the following season.
Going into future seasons the unlimited player cuts will not apply.
Of course all graduated players and players leaving for the NFL will come off your roster. In addition to this you will be allowed to remove any players that have transferred teams or left the NCAA division 1 for any reason. In addition to this you will be allowed to cut any 2 additional players if you so chose.
